Have a great weekend!

Good morning or afternoon depending on what end of the world you are. I woke up in the mood of cooking something light, healthy and beautiful.

So today i made a rice pudding a little bit different. You can try it tomorrow and delight yourself with some rich flavors and great colors and tastes.

You will need:

1 cup rice
1 small pack of raisins
1/3 cup of coconut cream
2 tablespoons of coconut flakes
juice of 1 orange
few drops of vanilla extract or vanilla sugar
1 tablespoon of honey
Orange zest

For garnish i used:
Mango
Strawberry
Kiwi
Almonds
Passion fruit but of course you can use any fruits you want.

Precook your rice normally with water and add the flakes of coconut, raisins and honey. When it's almost cooked add the coconut cream, orange juice and vanilla extract and stir normally until is cooked, add the orange zest at the end. If you don't have coconut cream you can add instead milk and butter.
Place it in a bowl and top it with the fruits and crashed almonds and some mint leaves . If you need more honey you can add by taste and...
Voila!!!

I enjoyed mine with my favorite tea at this moment, the brown rice green tea.

Bon Appetite!

Addiction for Traveling

Seems very natural to want to travel a lot, to discover, to explore, to live the experience and you would think that "Of course, everybody feels the same" but its not. The taste of traveling comes with time, with each escape, with each little detail that builds that spirit of traveler and that passion for knowing more, to go each time a different place, even if its a different city, a different restaurant. We all think that our city is the best until we escape from it and we see Different. And then the adrenaline starts to grow, you wanna go again, you wanna see more, you wanna escape to a world that is new for you, you wanna see what is behind the horizon, you become curios about what is hidden behind the borders. But there are people that will never understand us, and we wont understand them. There are people that go to one place and stick to it, it's OK they like their routine. Or there are people that look at pictures of some place and they feel that there is no need to be there to know it. You see pictures and it's like you were there. Or there are people that go to a place and stay in the hotel by the pool and that is the vacation, because exploring takes time, you have to walk and you have to speak a language that you don't know maybe, it's effort. And it's OK, because we are all different and we all have different visions about things and vacation and traveling. What some people don't know is that outside of that pool there is a wonderful city or country or area that waits to be explored. That people outside your own country are also people and they will always try to help even if you don't speak the language they do. They will show u on the map, they will talk to you through signs and do their best to welcome you in their country. What they don't know is that the World is full of wonders, magical places, fantastic cities, beautiful people that once explored make us more rich, more happy, more connected to the rest of the world. And i hope that people that never been out of the country, will and they will hear what i'm talking about and those who go to the same place will go out of their own limits and they will like it. But if not...not. Us travelers, we will continue living our adventurous life, exploring the world, the unknown and speaking the same language: travel excitement, amazing pictures, love for the same places, priceless moments and lifetime memories.

Good Mornings from sunny Portugal!

Hello everybody! I hope you're all good. I've been absent for a while but not in vain. Let me tell your where I've been and what I've seen and experienced.

I finally left the cold and humidity behind in exchange for sunny, warm, blue and breezy weather.
I've been so happy excited to be there again especially now when the temperatures are scaling between 27-33 degrees, the sun shines more bright, sky is of a crystal blue, the sand is warmer and the ocean seems to be a bit more calm and kind.

I had 10 days of happiness, saporous food, breath taking views, beautiful nature, amazing beaches, beautiful people, and new points discovered.
I was there with a special purpose, what was it? I will tell you in another post. In the meanwhile let me talk about Lisbon, Portugal.
A beautiful city with controversies in a country with everything that you can wish for.

Lisbon is a city where you can get more than an escape, you get culture and modernism, refined traditional food and fusion from around the world, amazing sandy beaches and stunning rocky coasts, breath taking sunshines and sunsets, beautiful vegetation, history, music, passionate music, traditional Fado music, rocky narrow roads that connect the city center that is the historic, vintage part of Lisbon to wide, spacious, sunny streets that build the new are of the city, The Expo.

Back to Delicious! Fade Street Social Restaurant

Morning foodies!

Having a beautiful sunrise here today, with yellow-pink colors, with a view that is always nice: airport, planes, new Trip.

I'm hungry even though its not even 6 AM. Reason: I've been looking through the pictures in my phone over some delicious food i had the other week in a restaurant in Dublin. I finally started more to discover the "treasures" of  Dublin.
I created a routine to eat healthy during the week and spoil well in the weekend with amazing foods, and that's what i do. Its totally worth it.

Fade Street Social, spotted in the city center of Dublin, a place that it's very pleasant even if you wanna have a drink on the rooftop, socialize or have some yummy food at the 1st floor.
I was pleasantly surprised to discover the inspiring and tasty food they have in that place. They have an elevated and large menu of goodies that made me plan to definitely go back there.
They have a Truffle Pasta, OMGGG!!!! It's to die for. The minute i entered there and i saw it and smelled it from the table next to me, i couldn't have patience to place the order and put it in my mouth, so flavory, so savory, that you just crave for more and more... Its true that the pasta in the sauce it was not as much as i would've liked, so i had to ask for bread :) to finish that incredible sauce.

Then the Tempura shrimp on a bruscheta bread, uf uf....mouth watering. The bread so moist and soaked in the juiciness of the tomato, wrapped in the flavor of the fresh pesto, finished with the prawn crispy on the outside, smooth in the inside with a natural seafood taste made this dish so rich and so fantastic. In the overall, that together with the fresh herbs, lemon puree and olives brought it to perfection. Perfect to eat and perfect to enjoy it to the last bite.

Baby crab toasties with melted cheese, duck egg hollandaise, skinny fries and truffle mayonnaise. I LOVE crab and truffle sauces as well. Just awesome.
What else could you ask for when a dish has it all. Made me happy. :)

We also had Crispy Squid and Soft Shell Crab in sesame spice flour and miso mayonnaise that i liked  less, i loved the sauces though, a lot of aroma and flavor going on, even so the squid and Shell Crab was just a bit too dry for me.

And the drinks, I had my first good Margarita in Dublin, finally.

Liked the place, really did. I recommend it. If you are ever in Dublin, i could go for a second menu taste with you to Fade Street Social.

Have a good morning people and as i always say, Eat well, Eat tasty food, will make your day.

Pronovias Collection 2016, Highlights

"Once upon a time..." That's how it starts the new Bridal Show with the 2016 collections.

Yesterday was the Bridal Show of Pronovias, Collection 2016.  The Show was perfectly presented as always with the main star of the evening Irina Shayk. I say they did a pretty good job this year as well with their bridal collection, even though the one of 2015 had more dresses i loved. What do you think?

This one is gorgeous, i posted it as well in my previous post about 2016 Bridal Gowns

Go with the Flow

Morning foodies!

How did your weekend start? I hope the sun is warming you up with its gentle rays and the wind is more in the style of a summer breeze, reminding you that "Its close, its close!!!!" :)

A lot of people like to visit museums, theaters and exhibitions when traveling, Me i like to "visit' restaurants. Trying new style of places, new cuisines or old ones but reallllyyyy tasty, mixture of flavors, textures, ingredients, smells and presentations. I get stunned and profoundly impressed with some of the work is being done in the kitchen.
Nowadays cooking is an Art, and not all the artists are the same. Some of the chefs are doing magic in their kitchen and i am just amazed and stunned by some of the work. I absolutely loooove modern cooking, vacuum compressing, decomposed dishes, fusions, molecular gastronomy,
The molecular gastronomy is the new Flow in the culinary world and it gets more and more spread and developed and i must admit this new trend is just mind blowing, impressive and sensational, they manage to do through these techniques ordinary worldly food into extraordinary and sublime one.
As well as others admire paintings, pictures or other things i admire the art that its being expressed through food and done on a plate.

If other arts require talent, this one requires besides that, knowledge, patience and love for what you do. The knowledge and inspiration to mix the right ingredients, tastes, components, proportions and setting it on the plate as the perfect set, the right amount, colors, decoration, presentation.

Dream about Paradise, Summer Vacation

   Hello you all!

Summer is by the corner and all of us start thinking about vacation, about beach, sun, sea...about days with nothing to do more than relaxing by the pool or beach, with worries just of which cocktail to choose: a Mojito, a Margarita or a Mai Tai, which bikini to put on today or what kind of food you want for dinner. "Today i definitely go for seafood :) yumm.." :)

Some of us choose further destinations, some prefer closer ones. The good thing is that anything you decide Europe, Asia , Australia , South America or North America, you will always find  paradisiacal places to escape in your fairytale magic.
I  put together a list of beaches on everyone's taste and distance wishes:

1. Sant Elm ( Mallorca, Spain)- located in the south west corner of Mallorca , Sant Elm has a separate beauty, having the mountains guarding it in the back and the turquoise waters cooling it in front, Sant Elm has the perfect scenery for a lazy summer vacation.  Even though the town is calm and quite there is a variety of restaurants and bars of great quality where you can enjoy the tasty Spanish tapas and quality drinks during your stay.

2. Zlatni Rat Beach ( Croatia)- is one of the most beautiful beaches in Croatia. The  shape of the beach is unique and sets a perfect picture for a postcard souvenir or for a wall-painting. Its the beach that is the most famous for windsurfing in Croatia. The beauty of the blue clear water is complemented by the pine forest that it brings shade to the burning sun.

3. Nissi Beach Cyprus - is a wonderful sandy beach in the area of Ayia Napa, Cyprus. It's a perfect beach for a summer escape, its white sand beach and the shallow waters are making you feel like in Paradise. You can easily relax on the beautiful beach, explore the surroundings, jump from the cliffs or bungee jump. It's the place where you can sit quietly and get your tan and sip on your drink or you can go visiting its nice gardens that are not far from the beach, eat good food, go for a foam party,  best DJ party, where you can meet celebrities and have fun.One of the best place to party is called Nissi Bay Beach Bar where you can get all the fun.

Pancakes for a Good Sunshine Morning

Good Morning Sunshine!

I'll be very short today since i bombed you with 2 posts yesterday :) I tried yesterday a new recipe that it's very easy to make and very tasty to eat. It's a Jamie Oliver recipe for pancakes.
And since it's Sunday it's a good way to spoil your partner with a portion of this and why not spoil yourself. :)
It's easy, it's tasty and can make you morning more sweet and colorful. :) isn't that great?

Ingredients ( 4 servings)

1 egg
1 cup of flour
1 cup of milk ( i used liquid yogurt)
pinch of salt
pinch of baking powder
4 spoons of fat natural or vanilla yogurt
100 gr of blueberries or black currant
vanilla sugar
olive oil for frying

Crack the egg in a bowl and whisk it well, add the flour, milk, yogurt, the pinch of salt and baking powder and vanilla sugar.  whisk all well until it gets smooth and nice. Add the blueberries or black currant and mix it all ( the blueberries give a bit of acidity which gives a good juiciness and accent to the taste. Put the pan on a medium fire with a spoon of olive oil and pour with the spoon the paste carefully spreading it around making round shapes on the pan. Let it fly 1-2 min until bubbles appear on the surface and then flip it on the other side.

I used condensed milk, strawberries and blueberries as a topping.  They came out soooo yummy...finger licking.:)
Enjoy boys and girls!!!
Have a good Sunday!
