Weddings and weather!

Hello again beautiful people!

Today i come out later a bit. i hope you all had a great Easter Sunday and for those who didn't celebrate it yet, just a few more days till the big day of EATING and celebrating.
Today i will talk to you about weather and weddings. I live in a country now where weather is not normal. It's a schizophrenic weather as a friend is saying, or you can call it a joke, cause literally one minute is raining, the next one is snowing and in a half a minute its a sun like in July.
Not funny!!! Well might not be funny for us but in days like this i think a lot about brides, especially in weekends.Who doesn't want a perfect wedding outside, with perfect photo-shooting. We all think about the wedding day as the most special day of our lives, when every single detail has to be perfect. We need a fairytale, where we are the princesses and where nothing can go wrong. And we all know that weddings outside can be absolutely magical but when the only thing that you can't control happens, then what do we do? How do you deal with it? How you prevent the wet wedding dress, muddy shoes, running mascara, spoiled hairstyle?

As sad as it can be, we have to consider the possibility either we live in Ireland, Spain or Thailand. I'm sure that Thai people have less chances for that but as crazy the weather gets these days you never know. One way or another since a detail like this cannot be avoided you have to be prepared at all times. And the best way to start is :

1.  Acceptance
Accept it and try to make the best of it. It is still the day of your wedding so why ruin the mood   just because of rain. So many fun things can be done even on a wet weather. And trust me, your guests will still help you have the best day of your life with lots of fun and love.

2.  Rent a tent.
Be prepared. Tent can give a really nice atmosphere and in the same time can save you in case of rain. You can decorate it to be absolutely gorgeous and it can get even better than a venue. And even if you are lucky and you don't get rain, the tent can still be very handy, its a good place to set it as a lounge with fans, air conditioners, puffs, sofa's and a chilling area where guests can relax.

3. Have always a plan B
If you don't get a tent, make sure that the place you are having the wedding at has a inside space where you can move the reception party in case of rain.

4. Inform your guests
For sure for the last 2 or 3 weeks you've been checking all the weather forecast applications and websites on Google. If there is a week to the wedding and you still get the same info, it's time to get ready. Send " Notice rain cards" or group informing text, let the guests know that in case of bad weather the party will be held inside the venue or another location. Make sure you have all the contacts in case of major changes in the schedule.

5. Get creative
Buy items like rain boots, ponchos and umbrellas that would match you wedding theme color. Not everybody gets the fun part of dancing in the rain in pink or green rain boots at a wedding party.

6. Prepare supplies to confront the rain
Take care of your guests once they arrive. Light blankets or pashmina scarfs can be really handy and warm on a humid day, get your bathroom prepared with hair dryers, toiletries kits and towels.

 7. Keep your vendors informed
Make a backup plan timeline and for the vendor you work with. Let them know which is the alternative location in case of heavy rain and if there will be any hour delays. Provide additional directions to the new location.

8. Make it Fun
Prepare signs with funny messages about rain for a case like this. Prepare special umbrellas and rainy theme and get ready for photo shooting. You will be surprised what cool pictures you can get. Photographers are prepared for any kind of weather,so trust their professionalism.

And finally, enjoy your Big Day! Have fun, dance in the rain, Be Happy!!! And remember this day only comes ones so make the Best of it!

XoXo
